MinC/Lysis device-based kill switch with delayed expression
This part combines elements from the well described bacterial lysis device (BBa_K1120808) with the gene coding for MinC protein (cell division inhibitor, characterised by Team Warsaw 2010). Addition of MinC is meant do reduce the odds of individual cells adapting to the device, thus making it suitable for the programmed cell death of bacterial population. In order amplify this effect, expression of lysis device is delayed in relation to MinC. System is under the control of BBa_K098995 heat-inducible input device. The kill-switch is activated in 42 degrees Celsius.
